BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Linux Engineer for an opportunity in Chicago, ILPosition Title: Linux EngineerLocation: (Chicago, IL)Anticipated Start Date: ASAPPlease note this is the target date and is subject to change. BCforward will send official notice ahead of a confirmed start date.Expected Duration: 12 Months.Job Type: CONTRACT, (Hybrid)Shift: Monday- Friday (5x8)Pay Range: $50/HR - $55/HRPlease note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).Job Description:This role will ensure best practice implementation and operations of patching and vulnerability management/remediation to ensure bank infrastructure is free from vulnerability threats. Resource will be working with a team that is responsible for performing OS patching and software vulnerability remediation on mission critical applications that have zero downtime. The resource will also be required to work with the application teams and engineering partners to build/modify the patching flow instruction documentation. Resource will also be working with various other teams (SA, MW, DBA.,etc.) during the course of the patching exercise to resolve any issues.
