    • Job Requirements
    • Traveler must have permanent address outside a 50-mile radius of Madison (permanent address must be included in traveler's profile).
    • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
    • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
    • Traveler must have successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
      • Unit Specific Information
      • The 4th-floor Inpatient unit is a 28-bed medical surgical unit.
      • Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age.
      • The traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs.
      • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit to complete the contract.
        • Additional Details
        • UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
        • Profiles will need to be submitted in the following format: .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types or our IS department will be blocking them and we will no longer receive the files nor able to forward internally to our hiring managers.
