• Certification Details
• Traveler must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
• BLS & ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
• Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).
  • Job Details
  • Join the Cardiovascular Medicine and Cardiothoracic Surgery team in the CVCT ICU and provide high quality care to patients on this acuity adaptable unit for critical care and intermediate care patients.
  • Ensure care is delivered with a mixture of technological expertise and a positive commitment to meeting patient and family needs.
  • Be an integral part of a team that provides care for patients requiring specialized care for cardiac and thoracic surgeries and procedures, heart and/or lung transplants, medical devices and a variety of cardiovascular medical diagnoses
    • Job Requirements
    • Must have experience Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Acuity Adaptable area (3 or above).
    • Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
    • Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
    • Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).

        • Unit Specific Information
        • Travelers are the first to float. The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
        • During the traveler's assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
          • Additional Details
          • UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel). Profiles will need to be submitted in the following format: .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx file types or our IS department will be blocking them and we will no longer receive the files nor able to forward internal to our hiring managers.
