tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable
business strategies in accordance with architectural governance,
standards, and policies. Ensuring middleware platforms are patched
with the most current version of software, helping to manage risk
to the customer; Providing WebSphere Application Server
administration that includes server installation, configuration,
performance tuning and production support; Working with customers
(application teams and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and
providing WebSphere and Java support; Serving as a J2EE architect
and making recommendations on J2EE best practices in application
development; Designing WebSphere infrastructure and WebSphere
topology design for high availability and failover capability;
Providing technical consultation to other team members and their
supported areas; Communicating with business partners at an
enterprise level; Interfacing with internal customers and external
vendors for consultation at various points of the software
development life cycle (SDLC); and, Executing production changes
for Bank integrated and regulatory releases with precision. Job

improvement.Responsibilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a
range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and
Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply
with enterprise system design and engineering standards.
- Assists with translating business requirements into technical
definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for
deployment in compliance with architecture standards and
policies.
- Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints, and
playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
- Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable
work or inefficient processes.
- Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being
considered for firm adoption.
- Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps
to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.
- Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and
non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across
domains.
- Work on Linux platform middleware engineering and environment
support
- work on CICD - Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
process and tools
- Day-to-day administration includes installation, testing,
tuning, upgrading and loading patches, troubleshooting server
problems.
- This is to provide 3rd Level Support - Incident
troubleshooting, analysis and resolution for web applications.
- This position demands the person to be absolutely hands on.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must have 5+ year experience in Java/ Linux
Middleware Engineering.
- Providing middleware engineering support of WebSphere, JBoss,
Apache, IBM HTTP Server, Tomcat, Appian, etc.
- Delivering middleware enterprise projects and regulatory
legislative initiatives
- Ensuring production stability from an ongoing support
standpoint; Ensuring middleware platforms are patched with the most
current version of software, helping to manage risk to the
customer
- Providing WebSphere Application Server administration that
includes server installation, configuration, performance tuning and
production support; Working with customers (application teams
and/or testing teams) on a daily basis and providing WebSphere and
Java support
- Serving as a J2EE architect and making recommendations on J2EE
best practices in application development
- Designing WebSphere infrastructure and WebSphere topology
design for high availability and failover capability
- Providing technical consultation to other team members and
their supported areas
- Communicating with business partners at an enterprise
level
- Interfacing with internal customers and external vendors for
consultation at various points of the software development life
cycle (SDLC)
- Executing production changes for Bank integrated and regulatory
releases with precision.Desired Qualifications:
- WebSphere/JBoss/Tomcat/Appian/IBM Http Server/Apache Middleware
administration.
- Knowledge of shell, jython and Perl scripting.
- Information Technology professional with 5 plus years'
experience
- Tools: BladeLogic, Dynatrace, JIRA, Ansible Tower
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong
attention to detail
- Hands on experience with release orchestration tools like Xebia
